The Friends of Archaeology & Heritage (FOAH) in Jordan was founded in 1959 by a small group of Jordanian and non-Jordanian archaeologists and residents who wanted to expand awareness and enjoyment of Jordan's rich heritage among the general public.

Membership

Membership in the Friends of Archaeology and Heritage is open to anyone interested in the society's objectives and activities. FOAH has some 300 dues-paying members. Membership categories include:

• Resident membership (Individual JD30, Family JD50);
• Students membership JD5;
• Supportive membership JD50;
• Corporate members JD250;
• Academic (schools, universities JD100);
• Non-resident membership US $35.
